Vector-KGM has added two new color options for its Vector Switch, a lighter that also has a cigar cutter built into its body, but there’s a twist: the cutter portion is actually removable and users can choose different types of cutters to attach to the lighter.

The company has added blue matte and red matte colorways of the Switch, which launched earlier this year in five colors: anodized blue matte, black matte, chrome satin, gunmetal satin and nickel satin.

Regardless of color, each lighter has an MSRP of $60 and comes with both straight cutter and v-cutter attachments. The Switch measures 2.6 x 1.45 inches, but the width varies based on the cutter option: the straight cutter measures 0.77 inches while the v-cutter measures 0.91 inches.

The lighter section of the Vector Switch is a dual-flame torch lighter operated via a single-action, two-paneled lid, with the two flames angled towards each other to create a merging point. A pair of retractable pins that allow the cutter options to be removed and swapped out. Each lighter ships with the v-cut the one initially attached to the body. Depending on which lighter body color is chosen, the cutters are finished in either black or gunmetal.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
