A follow-up to Caldwell’s Long Live the King brand that debuted in 2014, this five-vitola line is rolled at the Ventura family’s El Maestro factory in the Dominican Republic. The lancero vitola features both the longest length, as well as the thinnest ring gauge of any size in the line so far.

We found the profile to be both sweet and rich in nature, with quite a bit of woodiness and white pepper notes. However, the final ranking was impacted by the fact that two of the four reviewers experienced tighter than normal draws while all four reviewers had to correct the cigar’s burn line at least once. — Brooks Whittington.
