If there’s a surprise on our list, it’s the Crux Limitada PB5.

The cigar, which may or may not be named PB because of peanut butter, actually has some notes of peanut butter. It’s a pretty large departure from Crux’s normal repertoire: it’s the company’s priciest option at $11, it’s Crux’s strongest offering to date, but most importantly, it’s the company’s best.

For this release, Crux is using a Nicaraguan Engañoso wrapper. If you haven’t heard of that tobacco varietal, don’t be alarmed. The company secured the exclusive rights to this Plasencia-grown tobacco in 2012 and has made the Estelí-grown wrapper the centerpiece to the company’s limited edition cigar.

For those that missed out on one of the 5,000 cigars that were part of the original release, fear not, Crux just announced it is shipping 7,500 more PB5s as well as the Limitada Show Exclusive 2016, a 5 x 52 box-pressed version of the blend. — Charlie Minato.
