The third release honoring retailer Thompson Cigar’s 100th anniversary has arrived at the Tampa, Fla.-based retailer.

On Saturday, Thompson released the Montecristo Thompson 100th Anniversary Robusto Habano at an event. The 5 1/2 x 52 cigar uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over Dominican and Ecuadorian double binders and a filler blend from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Only 1,000 numbered boxes of 10 have been made with boxes retailing for $109.95.

Previously, Thompson has released special cigars from Drew Estate and Padrón, two more special releases are planned. There is also a private label anniversary cigar the company created for itself.

In addition to Thompson’s 100th anniversary, Montecristo the brand is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Both Altadis U.S.A., who produced this cigar and sells Montecristo in the U.S., and Habanos S.A., who sells Cuban Montecristo cigars in most other countries around the world have announced their own commemorative 80th anniversary cigars.
