The OpusX Society, an Arturo Fuente-themed cigar accessory company led by Manny Iriarte, will be getting its own cigar, specifically, its own OpusX.

At this week’s 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, the company will show off Fuente The OpusX Society Cigar, a new OpusX blend. The company is not disclosing much about the cigar, other than it’s a new blend—which is not being disclosed—pricing has not been set, and the cigar won’t begin shipping until early 2024.

The company plans to unveil the cigars on July 8 at 3:00 p.m. local time. It seems likely that even after the unveiling, many details will remain unknown.

“While I am not a master blender, obviously Carlito is,” said Iriarte in a press release. “This cigar is the result of a series of ongoing conversations between us. The result? Something previously never done within the OpusX series, and truly emblematic of our combined vision for OpusX Society. I am endlessly humbled by Carlito’s generosity and giving spirit, which we now get to share with all of you.”

Iriarte is a designer who has worked extensively with Arturo Fuente during the last decade, including on the company’s collaborations with Hublot. He is also credited with designing the OpusX 20th Anniversary Celebration packaging and a line of S.T. Dupont accessories that launched alongside the release. Two years ago, he launched The OpusX Society, which produces its accessories as well as special Fuente-themed version of Elie Bleu accessories.

“The OXS is a unique and extremely limited Opus Blend. Different and Xtremely impressive richness and intensity,” said Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr.

The cigars will be distributed by The Smoking Frenchies, LLC, a related company with a tobacco license, and only offered to existing OpusX Society accounts. This is not the first time there has been an OpusX brand that has been sold by a company other than Arturo Fuente; Prometheus sells the OpusX Lost City.
