The third size in Tatuaje’s Series P Miami line has begun shipping, as Pete Johnson told halfwheel that he has sent the first boxes to retailers who are open for business and that pre-ordered them.

The new size, known as the P3, is a short robusto that measures 4 x 50 and comes priced at $6.50 per cigar, before taxes. It is offered in 25-count, gold foil-wrapped bundles, just like the other two sizes, the P1, a 5 5/8 x 46 corona gorda, and the P2, a 5 x 50 robusto. Both of those vitolas are priced at $7 each per cigar.

The Tatuaje Series P line is made in Miami at the El Rey de los Habanos factory, using the same Ecuadorian habano wrappers as the Tatuaje Brown Label vitolas, while underneath that sits a dual Nicaraguan binder and a mixed filler made from the remnants of Tatuaje Brown Label tobaccos.

It had originally been slated to ship earlier in the month, though delays in getting the cigars from the factory into the United States pushed it back a few weeks.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
