Three of Tatuaje’s Cojonú lines will soon be getting new wrapper options, as Pete Johnson, Tatuaje’s founder, confirmed he will be unveiling the cigars at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show this week.

The Cojonú 2015 and 2018 will be getting a broadleaf wrapper option that will be shipping immediately following the show. The Cojonú 2015, which came out in 2022, is a 5 x 55 robusto gordo and will be priced at $13 for the broadleaf option. The Cojonú 2018 debuted in 2023 and measures 5 5/8 x 54; it will be priced at $13.50 for the broadleaf version.

The Cojonú 2012, which is a 6 1/2 x 52 toro that came out in 2012, will be adding two new wrapper options, a Mexican San Andrés and a corojo of undisclosed origin. Both versions will be priced at $13 per cigar and are scheduled to ship around May.

Additional details about the four new cigars will be disclosed at the trade show.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
