The company attributed the need to implement the increase to rising costs in several aspects of the cigar making process. The company’s portfolio includes the non-Cuban versions of Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann and Trinidad, among many others.

Retailers were informed of price changes for select Drew Estate and Joya de Nicaragua cigars. In addition, 16 SKUs have been removed from the price list including two Herrera Estelí lines.

A total of 16 cigars will be going up in price as of Jan. 1. The cited reason? Increased tobacco costs.

The two lines are getting new “dancing shoes” the company said in posts on social media. As part of the update, the two lines are also getting three new vitolas that stemmed from retailer requests.
