Gurkha Year of the Dragon 2024

Two are coming to stores, two more will be on shelves later this year.

The four new Year of the Dragon cigars come from AJ Fernandez, Casa Carrillo, Oliva and Oscar Valladares.

Last week, Davidoff asked a federal court to throw out Gurkha’s Year of the Dragon-related lawsuit.

El Artista made the first Gurkha Year of the Dragon cigar. Oscar Valladares and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. are making the other cigars.

Will I be wrong about the shipping date for Fuente y Padrón Legends two years in a row? Probably.

Gurkha claims that the Davidoff Limited Edition 2024 Year of the Dragon cigar(s) violate its various dragon trademarks, including a pending one for “Year of Dragon.”

This is the first time that Gurkha has released a cigar celebrating the Chinese New Year and the zodiac calendar.

It was the second-largest booth on the show floor this year, with the company celebrating a pair of anniversaries and the upcoming Lunar New Year.
