Maestranza was inspired by an episode of “Chef’s Table,” references Spanish cavalry and pays tributes to the workers of Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño. It’s also the newest line from RoMa Craft Tobac.

Mon Chéri is a corona gorda version of the Aquitaine EMH Frenchy. The barberpole will ship to select stores next week.

RoMa Craft Tobac’s newest line is a tribute to the people who have helped get the company and the associated Nica Sueño factory to where they are today. While the three regular production sizes came out earlier this month, a fourth, limited edition size, was released this summer as a preview of the line.

In July, a limited edition size of Maestranza shipped to select stores. This week, the line’s three regular production vitolas will go on sale.

In the spring of 2023, Powstanie added a 5 1/2 x 46 corona gorda as the fifth size in its core lines, the Habano and Broadleaf. After a year of rest, the time has come to revisit the skinniest size in the line.

The new 6 x 54 toro extras are slated to debut later this year in a limited edition sampler. Next year, they will be added as regular production SKUs, while the current 5 1/2 x 54 belicoso vitolas transition to limited production offerings.

The box-pressed 4 1/2 x 60 Mandible size is back, now with the new-for-2024 CroMagnon blend. The MSRP is set at $11.05 per cigar.

On Friday, the CRAFT Maquette La Maestranza debuts at an event at Cigar Den in East Brunswick, N.J. The rest of the bundles will ship sometime next month and the regular production Maestranza line will come out in Q4.
