Stolen Throne Cigars will be releasing its first limited edition creation during the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show in July.

That cigar will be the Phantom Queen, a 5 x 54 petit belicoso that is made up of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covering Nicaraguan tobacco used in both the binder and filler. Production is handled at the Rojas Cigar Factory located in Estelí, Nicaragua.

According to Lee Marsh, co-owner of Stolen Throne, the company had planned to release the limited edition in late 2020, but it was put on hold due to COVID-19-related supply chain issues. The name, Phantom Queen, refers to the Celtic deity of death and war who would often appear as a warrior queen and a raven in the same story.

Phantom Queen is limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars, for a total production of 15,000 cigars. The MSRP is set at $12 per cigar, or $120 per box, and Phantom Queen is scheduled to ship to retailers in September.

The 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 9-13 in Las Vegas.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
