Selected Tobacco has released three new limited-edition ashtrays that were designed to honor the history of the company’s Byron line of cigars.

The three porcelain ashtrays were designed by Nelson Alfonso, the creator of the Atabey, Byron and Bandolero brands. According to United Cigars—which distributes Selected Tobacco in the U.S.—each ashtray features a different color scheme that was “carefully selected to reflect the unique characteristics and flavors of the cigars from different centuries.”

“We are thrilled to introduce these porcelain ashtrays by Nelson Alfonso,” said Oliver Nivaud, director of operations for United Cigars, in a press release. “These ashtrays embody the spirit of luxury and craftsmanship that Byron Cigars are known for. They are a true testament to Nelson Alfonso’s talent and dedication to his craft.”

Alfonso has designed numerous items for Habanos S.A., including for some of the Cuban cigar company’s most sought-after cigars like the Cohiba BHK Behike and various Gran Reservas as well as other special packaging items such as tubos, jars and ashtrays.

According to the press release, all three ashtrays carry the same retail price of $250 and are now available for sale in stores.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
