Sans Pareil Cigars has announced plans to add a new green-banded line to its portfolio, which will debut just ahead of the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show.

The Sans Pareil Green is the first new core line since the company debuted in 2017, and the blend details are largely undisclosed. The new line is produced at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic and offered in four sizes:

  • Sans Pareil Green Diademas (8 1/2 x 52) – $48 (Box of 10, $480)
  • Sans Pareil Green Sherrys (7 x 44) – $35 (Box of 10, $350)
  • Sans Pareil Green Gran Robusto (6 x 50) — $33 (Box of 10, $330)
  • Sans Pareil Green Belvederes (5 1/4 x 40) – $18 (Box of 10, $180)

“We couldn’t be more excited to debut the Green at the 2024 PCA Trade Show,” said David Swinburne, the recently appointed president of Sans Pareil, in a press release. “This project is long-awaited and has been in the planning stages for years.”

Swinburne called the experience of developing the Green line with Jochy Blanco of Tabacalera Palma an unforgettable experience, saying that “every detail was scrutinized from the shade, burn, and of course taste of the Desflorado wrapper. When Jochy was able to smile and say, ‘This is Sans Pareil’ we knew the Green line was ready for retailers.”

The Sans Pareil Green will be released to a select group of the company’s current retailers just ahead of the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, while additional stores will begin receiving the cigars shortly after the trade show concludes.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
