At this month’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, there will be two new cigar lines from Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc. One is the new Year of the Dragon, the other is a new regular production line called Gold Label.

Blend-wise, it will use an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over dual binders—Connecticut broadleaf and Connecticut shade—and fillers from the Estelí and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. This blend is produced at the company’s Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) factory in Estelí.

It will be offered in four sizes:

  • Rocky Patel Gold Label Half Corona (3 1/2 x 46) — $9.70 (Box of 20, $194)
  • Rocky Patel Gold Label Robusto (5 1/2 x 50) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)
  • Rocky Patel Gold Label Toro (6 1/2 x 54) — $12 (Box of 20, $240)
  • Rocky Patel Gold Label Sixty (6 x 60) — $13 (Box of 20, $260)

While the company has not yet shown off the entire packaging for the cigar, the cigars are expected to have gold-colored bands and a large piece of gold-colored foil.

They will be shown off to retailers at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place March 23-25 in Las Vegas. Rocky Patel expects to ship the Gold Label in May.
