June 22, 2012 (Miami, FL) — Oliva Cigar was the official cigar sponsor for the 15th Annual Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational held on June 13th and 14th at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort outside Pittsburgh, PA. The proceeds from this annual event benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation’s important work in cancer and neonatal research.

Almost 200 golfers were at this year’s event including NFL greats Marcus Allen, Eric Dickerson and Dan Marino; MLB Hall of Famers Rollie Fingers and Bill Mazeroski, and NHL stars Brett Hull and Rick Tocchi.

Over the course of this two-day event, many of the golfers stopped by the Oliva tent to enjoy an Oliva Connecticut Reserve cigar. The Connecticut Reserve is a great mild to medium full flavored handmade cigar dressed in a silky Connecticut wrapper, the perfect cigar to enjoy while golfing.

The Oliva Cigar Company is proud to have been part of this great event and to partner with Mario Lemieux and looks forward to working together with the foundation in the future.
