After a five-year hiatus, the Quesada Holiday Keg is back.

Next week, Quesada will begin shipping the second version of the Holiday Keg. The Quesada Holiday Keg 2022 is a 6 x 50 toro that uses an Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It is made at the company’s Tabacos de Exportación factory in the Dominican Republic.

It has an MSRP of $11.90 per cigar and will be packed in boxes that are designed to look like barrels. Only 500 of those boxes will be released in the U.S. market.

“It’s been a while since last time we presented this fun project, a cigar meant for the holidays and the great spirit of the season,” said Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr., president of Quesada Cigars, in a press release. “Featuring the same profile of smoke, changing the wrapper to Habano 2000 and new vintages in binder and fillers in the same size, a classic toro 6 x 50.”

Quesada created the Keg as a St. Patrick’s Day-themed cigar that was packed in barrels and used packaging that was reminiscent of Irish beer. In late 2016, it launched the Holiday Keg as a release for the holiday season. While the original Holiday Keg was also a 6 x 50 toro, the blends are different as that cigar used a Dominican wrapper.
