The Palió brand, part of Quality Importers Trading Co.’s portfolio of brands, has largely been focused on providing value-forward cigar lighters and cutters in recent years. But at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show this week, Quality Importers will unveil a trio of higher-end lighters that will mark the launch of the Palió PRO line.

Quality Importers says that Palió PRO is designed to be “the best choice for your everyday carry lighter.” The three lighters have a full metal body construction that is “built to withstand the rigors of daily life,” the company wrote in a press release, noting that the line is designed to deliver the highest quality performance at an affordable price for all.

First up is the Palió PRO Scorpius, which offers a large, angled, single jet torch, a fold-out 7.5 mm punch cutter and a 33mm (1.3 inches) long cigar enhancement poker. It is priced at $29.99 and offered in five colors: black, black and rose gold, red, blue, and gunmetal.

The Palió PRO Antares is a dual jet torch lighter that offers a side-squeeze ignition and a large fuel tank. It is offered in five colors: black, gunmetal, blue, red, and silver, each of which is priced at $44.99.

Rounding out the trio is an inline triple-flame option called the Palió PRO Polaris that offers a pull-down ignition and a large fuel tank. It is priced at $49.99 and is also offered in five colors: black, black and rose gold, red, blue, and silver.

All three lighters in the Palió PRO series are scheduled to begin shipping in October.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
