A handful of cigar companies have announced plans to release cigars in celebration of the Year of the Dragon, and now one of the larger cigar accessories companies has announced it is getting into the festivities as well.

Later this month, Quality Importers Trading Co. will release a four-piece set of accessories, including a desktop humidor, travel humidor, cigar cutter, and lighter, all of which are adorned in red and gold, dragon-themed artwork.

The collection starts with the Humidor Supreme Traveler Humidor, a mahogany humidor that is capable of storing between 20 and 30 cigars. It measures 10 5/8 x 8 3/4 x 3 3/16 inches and comes with a humidifier, with pricing set at $57.99.

Next, there is the Cigar Caddy 5-count travel case, which protects up to five cigars during transport. It measures 8 13/16 x 5 3/16 x 2 inches and comes with a price of $31.99.

To cut your cigar, the company is offering the XIKAR Perfect Xi1 cigar cutter, which adds a back plate to the double-guillotine cutter to prevent too much of the head of a cigar from being clipped off. It is priced at $99.99.

Rounding out the collection is the Palió PRO Antares lighter, a dual-flame jet torch that features an all-metal body and side squeeze ignition, and which works at elevations up to 11,000 feet, according to the company. It is priced at $64.99.

The company is also a package price of $200 for all four accessories if purchased together.

The collection will begin shipping on Feb. 19 and will only be available for retailers to order through the end of March. Production is being limited to the total number of pieces ordered by retailers.

Update — Shortly after this article was published, additional information about production numbers and package pricing was released by the company.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
