General Cigar Co.’s annual Punch Rare Corojo should begin arriving in retailers, quite possibly today, with a large new salmones. The 7 1/4 x 57 Rare Salomones is the latest edition to the Rare Corojo line and will ship alongside seven other sizes: Champion, Double Corona, El Doble, Elite, Magnum, Pita and Rothschild.

While salmons normally carry a high price tag due to the difficulty in rolling, the Rare Salomones will be priced at $7.99, slightly higher than 6 x 60 El Doble, which retails for $6.80.

In addition to the new size, the packaging will be receiving a slight update abandoning the sliding lid style boxes the cigars have previously come in.

The Rare Corojo uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigars are made at STG Danlí in Honduras.
