The November 2020 release of the Fuente Aged Selection—a project between Arturo Fuente and Prometheus—will have a new version of the OpusX Rare Black.

There will be a new vitola for the Fuente Fuente OpusX Heaven and Earth Rare Black, a Double Corona. It’s priced at $65 per cigar and sold in boxes of 10. It joins the original 6 7/8 x 44 size, which the company is referring to as the Rare Black Torpedo. That size will return for 2020 priced at $49.90 per cigar.

The blend of Rare Black has not been disclosed.

While not new, the OpusX Scorpio Maduro will return with a new look. The 5 3/4 x 56 release has previously been sold in special Fuente Aged Selection samplers, but it will now be offered as a standalone release.

The yellow and purple 10-count boxes are priced at $499, meaning the cigars or $49.90 per cigar.

There will also be annual releases of the Opus22 $995 sets, limited to 200 boxes in November and 300 boxes in the spring of 2021, as well as the Opus6 release ($270) and the OpusX Story ($179.95). While most cigars included in these samplers are not regular production items, it does not appear that any of them are new for 2020.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these items is donated to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which supports a school, medical clinic, and other programs in the Dominican Republic.
