December 8, 2011 (Palm Bay, Florida & Vienna, Austria) — Cigar Journal’s All-Star roster has now added James Suckling to the lineup. James is the only celebrity writer to be well respected in both the wine and cigar industries.
James was one of the founding writers for Cigar Aficionado and Wine Spectator. His 1990 book “Vintage Port” is authoritative. He was an important journalist during the famous recent vintages of Bordeaux and the rise of Super-Tuscan wines.
The Cuban cigar industry awarded him with its highest honor, the Man of the Year in 2005 in the category of Communications.
Now, James is contributing his expertise to Cigar Journal with a recurring column that brings his expertise in both wine and cigars to CJ’s pages. You can read his first column on the 2002 Champagne vintage and pairing it with cigars in the Winter issue of Cigar Journal (2011).
His recommendation in issue 4 is for the 2002 Cristal and the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill. Subscribe to read his future recommendations and stories.
