With the Plasencia Cosecha 151 nearing release, Plasencia Cigars has announced that it has discontinued the Cosecha 146.

The 146th was the first in the company’s Cosecha Series. Cosecha is Spanish for harvest, meaning the Cosecha 146 used tobacco from the family’s 146th harvest, which was from the 2011-2012 crop. It used a Honduran wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder an fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua.

While the tobacco was from 2012, the line wasn’t released until 2017.

In 2021, the company introduced the Cosecha 149 and has been selling both lines ever since. Plasencia will continue to sell two Cosecha lines, as the Cosecha 151 is currently slated to be released next month. Both the 149—which uses tobacco from 2014—and 151—which uses tobacco from 2016—are made entirely of Honduran tobaccos.
