Elie Bleu, Manny Iriarte Enterprises and Toscano are three companies that I mentally slated to cover on Day 4. The first two are connected to one another, and I find that it’s easier to move around the booths and photograph all the accessories during the slower Day 4. The same could be true about Toscano, though I find it less of an option. For the last two trade shows, Toscano’s booth is not only one of the busiest but also consistently busy. While it was easy to grab pictures during the first three days, finding someone for a video was again problematic, which is great news for the company. To be clear, this is a new development. Not that long ago, there were times in which it was easy enough for me to talk at length to three or four Toscano employees at once, a clear sign that things weren’t busy.
One thing I didn’t photograph was the cigar roller the company had in its booth. I forgot to do it earlier in the show, and when I stopped by on Tuesday, the roller was gone. This is something Toscano has done in the past, though it’s not consistently a feature of its PCA Convention & Trade Show presence.
This year, the focus is Master Aged Series 4, a follow-up to the Master Aged 1, 2 and 3 that the company launched in the U.S. last year.
The Master Aged series differs from most Toscanos, given that the cigars are aged in special rooms for 360 days. During that time, the temperature is intentionally raised and lowered, to help produce specific results. I believe it’s also slightly larger than most Toscanos.
