PCA 2023: Kafie 1901

As you have likely heard by now, assuming this isn’t your first booth recap post of the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, the Boutique Cigar Association (BCA) had what was referred to as a pavilion on the show floor, though there was no structure associated with it, rather it was a space for 16 smaller cigar makers to show off their products, and a way to make attending PCA more accessible for smaller brands.

One of the more well-known companies in the pavilion was Kafie 1901, a company you’ve likely seen written about on this site numerous times. Dr. Gaby Kafie is the founder and treasurer of the BCA, and one of the people behind the pavilion and the move to incorporate smaller brands into the cigar industry’s annual trade show.

Like every other brand in the pavilion, Kafie 1901 Cigars had a single display structure that his cigars were displayed on, and in this case, highlighted a number of new sizes that he has added to his five core lines as he continues to develop and grow his production after moving to the La Aurora Cigar Factory in early 2022.
