PCA 2023: Jake Wyatt Cigar Co.
While Jake Wyatt’s booth looks largely the same as previous years, a stop-by reveals the company’s attempt to evolve its look.
Most notably, the packaging has been reworked, as you can see below, with graphics that do a good job explaining the components of the cigar on the inner lid. Additionally, retailers will be provided with clips to make sure those boxes stay open on store shelves.
The company has also begun dabbling in some four-pack options for its lines, housed in square packs that remind me of a sleeve of golf balls, only slightly longer. There are some new branded ashtrays as well, giving the company a more polished look.
Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. J.W. Maverick
After debuting at the 2023 Total Product Expo (TPE) in a toro vitola limited to 200 bundles of 10 cigars, the Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. Maverick is getting its full release at the PCA Convention & Trade Show. Named for co-founder Gerard Abajian’s son, the Maverick’s blend is described as much bolder and fuller than anything the company has released to date.

The company has launched a new four-count packaging option for the cigars in its Gourmet line and Lithium lines, as well as the J.W. Maverick line. For now, it is the robusto and toro vitolas from those lines that are offered.
