I remember the days of the Cavalier Genève camouflage booth and a time when the brand was in a very different place. Today, Cavalier has various employees, its own factory, cigars without edible gold, and lots more customers. All of that is on large display at PCA 2023.

The most striking thing that stood out upon seeing the Cavalier booth wasn’t the numerous stores. Rather, Sébastien Decoppet—the company’s founder—was nowhere to be found. And yet, everything seemed to be running well.

As for the booth, I feel like this is a new booth for Cavalier Genève, one that seems a bit deeper. Given the brand’s expansion, that’s probably necessary. Another sign of good things: Cavalier had to deliberately hold back some boxes of its new products so that there were products for people to photograph.

Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2023

For the fourth consecutive year, the Cavalier Genève Limited Edition will be a 6 x 54 toro. As is the case each year, the blend is different, though undisclosed. The 1,948 boxes reference 1,948 degrees Fahrenheit, the melting point of gold. Cavalier Genève places a piece of 24-karat gold foil on the outside of most of its cigars.

Domaine Rouge by Cavalier Genève

This is the second brand for Cavalier’s Inner Circle series, which debuted last year. Inner Circle is designed to be a different type of cigar than the normal Cavalier portfolio. Decoppet stressed to me this is a classic-tasting cigar.

<Domaine Rouge by Cavalier Genève 2>

Domaine Rouge is a tribute to Pascal Decoppet, Decoppet’s late father, who recently passed away. The boxes show images of wineries because Sébastien and his father enjoyed both wine and cigars.
