While Crux Cigars brought a host of new products to last year’s show—including new sizes for its Du Connoisseur and Bull & Bear brands—this year the company is keeping things a bit more simple by introducing just one new line as well as the latest incarnations of three different limited edition cigars.

There has been no change to Crux’s booth structure or the interior layout, but there is one minor addition to the overall presentation, namely new art installed on walls around the exterior. As has been the case for the past three shows, the company’s overall booth scheme also includes a logo banner suspended above the structure itself.

Crux is also becoming more environmentally conscious by announcing that the box for the new Epicure Habano will be made of 100 percent recycled cardboard.

Crux Epicure Habano

One of the company’s most popular brands is getting a third member, this time utilizing a habano seco wrapper from Nicaragua. The internal blend remains the same as the other two Epicure lines—all Nicaraguan tobacco—but the newest cigar includes a new band design.

  • Wrapper: Nicaragua (Habano Seco)
  • Binder: Nicaragua
  • Filler: Nicaragua
  • Crux Epicure Habano Corona Gorda (5 3/8 x 46) — $10.25 (Boxes of 20, $205)

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
