After introducing two new lines at the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show—Dedicación Habano and St. Francis Colorado—the company has decided to keep things a bit simpler for this year’s show.

That translates to a new vitola for all four current lines—at 4 1/2 x 44, it is the smallest size in the company’s portfolio so far—as well as a round vitola that was first released as part of the Dedicación line last year.

While the size of the booth is the same as at last year’s PCA show, this year’s space is configured a bit differently: the leather chairs have been replaced by a hightop table and chairs, which takes up less space overall and makes the booth look larger than before.

All Saints St. Francis Colorado Mitre

These two new Mitre vitolas will be the first round sizes for both St. Francis lines, each of which currently includes only soft-box pressed cigars. The vitola is named after the traditional hat worn by Roman Catholic bishops and abbots as well as some Anglican and Lutheran bishops.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
