I wasn’t in the best of shape—I may or may not still be intoxicated from last night—when arriving at the De Los Reyes compound—which includes De Los Reyes, Debonaire House, Topper, Patoro and Cattle Baron—and was offered recovery options (water, coffee) or hair of the dog options (rum and, concerningly, flavored vodka). I declined all of that. I was then offered some pastries from ñangá, a new bakery from Bismarck Abud, the husband of Nirka Reyes Estrella of De Los Reyes. At this point of the show—actually, at any point of the show—I’ll take pastries over cigars. I’ll update everyone later today about the pastries during the Instagram Live update.
The De Los Reyes booth is the favorite booth of our editorial assistant Kyle. Unfortunately, it’s placed in front of a convention center pillar which really restricts some of the prettier elements of the booth. It’s more or less the same booth as the last few trade shows, certainly one of the brightest booths on the show floor.
Saga Short Tales Tomo VII – Tales of the Land: Navarrete
Kyle is a particularly large fan of the bookshelves that hold the various boxes of the Saga Short Tales Series. There is a new one, even if it’s technically not a “new trade show cigar.” This is the seventh cigar in the series, and like the rest, it comes in books that include actual pages inside. It’s currently on sale at LG Cigar Club in San Jose, Calif., though it will begin heading to other stores in September.
