The next release in the Padrón Family Reserve series will only be available to retailers who attend the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, happening next month in Las Vegas.

The Padrón Family Reserve No. 96 is a 5 3/4 x 52 robusto extra, which will be offered in both natural and maduro wrappers. Keeping with how the line has been named, the No. 96 signifies what would have been José Orlando Padrón’s, the company’s founder, 96th birthday. It will be offered in 10-count boxes. A representative from Padrón confirmed those details but did not answer questions about the cigar’s price, how limited it may or may not be, or when it would ship to stores.

Padrón released the Family Reserve No. 95 the same way last year, limiting it to retailers who attended the trade show and ordered it at that time.

The 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
