Oliva’s $21,000 Limited Edition Humidor Arrives in Stores

Nearly a year after it was announced, the Oliva XXI Selection Humidor has begun arriving at stores around the world.

The limited edition humidor was announced last year, hence the 21 part of the name. Elie Bleu, the famous French humidor company, made the humidor itself, which measures 7.875 inches x 11.4 x 8.28 and appears to use the company’s olive wood interior.

Each of the Oliva XXI Selection Humidors—which retails for $21,000 or €21,000 depending on the market—contains a total of 95 cigars, 21 of which are a new 5 1/2 x 52 short figurado called Figuriño, a vitola created by Fred Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva. The Figuriño is only available as part of the humidor.

In addition, the humidor comes with special edition Elie Bleu accessories that feature the Oliva branding. Those accessories are designed to be stored in a tray that sits at the bottom of the humidor.

“Figuriño came about after long discussions between myself, Gilberto (Oliva) and the team at Elie Bleu,” said Vandermarliere, owner of Oliva in a press release last year. “It seemed appropriate to place 21 of these beautiful new cigars in our new humidor, made, of course, in 2021. Only 21 of them will ever be made. And the price? €21,000, of course.”

Oliva says the humidors began shipping to stores last month.
