Oliva has announced that it will add a combined six new sizes to its Serie V Melanio and Serie V Melanio Maduro lines.

The regular Serie V Melanio, which uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers will receive a new size:

  • Oliva Serie V Melanio Toro (6 x 52) — $14 (Box of 10, $140)

As for the Melanio Maduro, it uses the same Nicaraguan binder and fillers, but the wrapper is a Mexican San Andrés varietal. It will get three news sizes:

  • Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Double Toro (6 x 60) — $16 (Box of 10, $160)
  • Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro No.4 (4 1/2 x 46) — $9 (Box of 10, $90)
  • Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Toro (6 x 52) — $14 (Box of 10, $140)

Oliva says the new cigars are already in the company’s U.S. warehouse and will begin shipping this month. The cigars will also be shown off at next week’s 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 10-13 in Las Vegas.

Update — Shortly after this story was published, a representative from Oliva Cigar Co. told halfwheel that the plans had changed for the Oliva Serie V Melanio Lancero that was mentioned in the original article. The article has been updated accordingly.
