A few stores have already begun selling AGANORSA Leaf’s New Cuba Superior, but for the vast majority of cigar retailers, that time will come next week.

AGANORSA Leaf says it will begin shipping the New Cuba Superior to stores nationwide next week. New Cuba Superior is a new version of the company’s New Cuba line, which is a bundle brand. The New Cuba Superior will be sold in boxes, aimed at fitting in between New Cuba and some of the company’s more expensive offerings. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper over a Nicaragua binder and fillers from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua.

It is debuting in three sizes:

  • New Cuba Superior Robusto (5 x 50) — $6.99 (Box of 25, $174.75)
  • New Cuba Superior Corona (5 1/2 x 44) — $6.50 (Box of 25, $162.50)
  • New Cuba Superior Toro (6 x 50) — $7.50 (Box of 25, $187.50)

“We wanted to create a premium brand that was attractive in appearance, approachable in flavor, and affordable in price,” said Terence Reilly, vp of sales and marketing for AGANORSA Leaf, in a press release when the cigar was announced in June. “Most of our portfolio is too intense for beginners or those who simply prefer a mild smoke. New Cuba Superior was crafted to satisfy this segment of the market.”

AGANORSA Leaf said that—while not planned—around 10 stores received the new line last week.
