AGANORSA Leaf’s New Cuba brand is sold in bundles, but the new New Cuba Superior will be sold in boxes.

At next month’s 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, AGANORSA Leaf will show off New Cuba Superior, an elevated version of New Cuba. Blend-wise, it will use an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Cuban-seed tobaccos that AGANORSA grows in Condega, Estelí and Jalapa, three of Nicaragua’s main growing regions.

There will be three vitolas offered on launch:

  • New Cuba Superior Robusto (5 x 50) — $6.99 (Box of 25, $174.75)
  • New Cuba Superior Corona (5 1/2 x 44) — $6.50 (Box of 25, $162.50)
  • New Cuba Superior Toro (6 x 50) — $7.50 (Box of 25, $187.50)

“We wanted to create a premium brand that was attractive in appearance, approachable in flavor, and affordable in price,” said Terence Reilly, vp of sales and marketing for AGANORSA Leaf, in a press release. “Most of our portfolio is too intense for beginners or those who simply prefer a mild smoke. New Cuba Superior was crafted to satisfy this segment of the market.”

Reilly told halfwheel that New Cuba Superior would begin shipping by the end of August.
