The new line joins the Metropolitan Connecticut and Maduro offerings. The Habano is a Nicaraguan puro made at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

It will be offered in five sizes: Short Robusto (4 1/2 x 54, $5.50) Robusto Fino (5 x 46, $5) Robusto (5 1/2 x 56, $6.25) Toro (6 x 52, $6.75) and Gordo (6 x 60, $7.25). Each size comes in boxes of 18.

“The Nat Sherman Metropolitan Habano is a very exciting blend that brings a ‘new world’ offering to a traditional series of premium cigars,” said Michael Herklots, vp of retail and brand development, in a press release. “Along with the introduction of the Habano blend, we’re updating the presentation of the original Metropolitan Connecticut and Metropolitan Maduro for a more consistent look and feel across the trio of Metropolitan Selection blends. But rest assured, the cigars themselves will remain unchanged, maintaining the same consistency as they have over the past two decades.”

In addition, the Connecticut and Maduro lines will also receive the 6 x 60 size as an extension. It is priced at $7.25 across all three lines.

The 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show begins July 25 in Las Vegas.
