Mombacho Cigars S.A. will soon be selling its cigars on another continent, as the company has announced that it will start distribution this month in Angola via Primazia Decorama Import & Commerce.

“In the last year I’ve been in constant contact with Primazia Decorama’s executives about distributing Mombacho Cigars in Angola, one of the largest economies in Africa,” said Claudio Sgroi, president and master blender of Mombacho Cigars, via a press release. He noted that the company has sought to expand its worldwide presence in 2019, and has since reached a place where it can properly serve the African cigar smoking market.

“I’m thrilled that Mombacho Cigars are represented by such a serious and renowned company and that we are now available in five continents.”

Primazia Decorama is scheduled to receive the first shipment at the end of June 2019 and will be offering all Mombacho lines, including Tierra Volcan, Liga Maestro, Casa Favilli and Cosecha 2014.

“I’ve met Claudio at Intertabac (in) Dortmund and right from that moment I felt it was the time to initiate first contacts in order to bring Mombacho to Angola to be part of our portfolio,” said Ermen Soares, Primazia Decorama Angola’s General manager. “It’s a great honor for us to import, distribute and represent this great brand in the Angolan market. Thank you Mombacho Cigars for the opportunity,” he added.

Mombacho Cigars S.A.’s products are currently distributed in 14 countries around the world.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
