One of Les Fines Lames’ newest wearable cutters will go on sale next week.

The Le Tag T135 is a double guillotine cigar cutter made of surgical-grade stainless steel that can cut cigars up to 90 ring gauge and is priced at $90 each. Each Le Tag T135 is made in Thiers, France and the blade handle on the cutter is available in five different color options: Black, Blue, Champagne, OD Green and Red.

The company says the look of the wearable cutter was inspired by the design of a set of dog tags, and as with a set of real dog tags, the cutter is designed to be worn around the user’s neck via a chain.

Les Fines Lames also showed off a smaller, more intricate version of the wearable cutter named T100 during the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show with a starting price of $250 that can cut cigars up to 70 ring gauge. Unlike the T135, the T100 is made up of two separate pieces attached to a chain: the back “tag” is the single guillotine cutter made with 14c28n steel, while the front “tag” is nothing more than an ornamental piece made in the same size as the cutter featuring a different artistic pattern or design.

In an email, Fabien Kerneis, social media brand content manager at Les Fines Lames, told halfwheel that the T100 cutters are scheduled to be released in “early 2024.”

According to Kerneis, all five versions of the Le Tag T135 will be available for sale on the company’s website starting on Nov. 16. In addition, the cutters will begin shipping to retailers later this month.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
