For the third time, France-based Les Fines Lames and Casdagli have joined forces to create an exclusive cigar accessory.

The Villa Casdagli Eye Punch Bracelet is a wearable cigar cutter made in France by Les Fines Lames that features a connector designed with a 7mm punch cutter. According to a press release, this exclusive model is decorated with two nazar eye-beads, 8mm malachite beads and a silver charm “representing the special relationship formed over the years.” In addition, the bracelet is designed with an adjustable cord, meaning that the size of the bracelet can be adjusted for each individual user.

The nazar is an eye-shaped charm that some cultures believe protects the wearers from the evil eye, a curse that is thought to cause misfortune or injury.

“I remember the Nazar amulets decorating my grandfather’s house in Mykonos, so they always carried a special place in my childhood memory. A big thank you to Pierre and Pablo in agreeing to marry these meaningful eye-shaped beads to their beautiful and practical punch bracelet. A perfect foil to those that feel malevolent towards our wonderful hobby,” says Jeremy Casdagli, the founder and co-owner of Casdagli Cigars.

This is the third time the two companies have collaborated on exclusive products. The first creation was in 2020 with the release of the Le Petit Villa Casdagli, a special colorway of Les Fines Lames’ Le Petit cigar knife that was made with an olive wood handle branded with the double goose logo from the Casdagli family crest. The two companies then released two additional two custom-branded Le Petit cigar cutters in 2021 named Le Petit Villa Casdagli II and Le Petit Peacock.

According to Casdagli, the Villa Casdagli Eye Punch Bracelet will be launched during InterTabac 2023, an international tobacco trade show that takes place Sept. 14-16 in Dortmund, Germany. The cutter is limited to 99 numbered units, each priced at $138 and they are currently available for pre-order on Les Fines Lames’ website.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
