Late Wednesday evening, at ProCigar’s Welcome Dinner in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Guillermo León, head of La Aurora, unveiled a new size of the La Aurora 107 Line, the Sumo Short Robusto.

Measuring at 4 x 58, the 107 Sumo Short Robusto is the third release of the size for La Aurora in the past year following the 1495 Sumo Short Roubsto and the Draper’s 124th Anniversary Cigar by La Aurora.

While the W. Curtis Draper Anniversary release was banded as a 107 and came in 12 count boxes that said 107, it was not a normal La Aurora 107 blend. The Ecuadorian wrapper remained the same, but La Aurora used the binder and filler from the Guillermo León by La Aurora. For the regular production version, La Aurora will use the regular 107 blend.

Like the rest of the La Aurora 107 lines, the Sumo Short Robusto will be offered in boxes of 21. In addition, the La Aurora 107 Sumo Short Robusto will not be limited. It is expected to hit shelves in around two months.

This is the second extension to the 107 line, Miami Cigar & Co. previously announced that the La Aurora 107 Puro Vintage will be a limited release to debut around the same time as the Sumo Short Robusto.
