The 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show is just a few days away, and Kristoff has announced that it will be unveiling two new regular production lines at the event, as well as a limited-edition that will only be offered to attendees of the event.

For retailers attending the show, Kristoff has its PCA 2023 Signature Series, a 6 1/4 x 54 box-pressed toro that uses a Brazilian maduro wrapper, a Dominican binder and a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco. It is priced at $12 per cigar and $240 for a box of 20 cigars. Production is limited to 1,000 boxes.

As for the other two lines, Kristoff is leaning heavily into Nicaraguan tobacco, as both the Kristoff Nicaragua and Kristoff Tres Compadres are Nicaraguan puros, though the company hasn’t yet disclosed specifics or what makes the two cigars different. All the company has said thus far is that it “sourced the finest tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa and Condega for the wrapper, binder and filler” of both blends.

Both blends are being offered in the same three sizes and at the same price points: a 5 x 50 robusto priced at $9.50, a 6 1/4 x 54 toro priced at $10.50, and a 6 x 60 priced at $10.75. Both lines are offered in 20-count boxes.

All three of Kristoff’s new releases are produced at Tabacalera Von Eicken in the Dominican Republic, the factory formerly known as Charles Fairmorn. The company has not set a firm shipping date, but said it hopes to have them shipping to stores in August or September.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
