Joya de Nicaragua Adds Lancero Fino to CyB Line

The popular CyB by Joya de Nicaragua line will be getting its sixth vitola, the Lancero Fino. Joya de Nicaragua will give members of the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) an opportunity to purchase the 7 x 38 cigar at next month’s annual meeting and convention in the Dominican Republic.

“We have chosen TAA as the perfect place to introduce this vitola because we know TAA members understand this format very well,” said Dr. Ajenadro Martinez Cuenca, owner of Joya de Nicaragua.  “What better place than the Elite retailers of our business?… in what better hands can this product be? This CyB Lancero is also a tribute to all the members of TAA who have for years worked so hard in favor of promoting premium cigars, and deserve that recognition with something truly special.”

Released last year at IPCPR 2012, the CyB, formerly known as Cuenca y Blanco, ranked as the top cigar in The Consensus Awards and number eight in the halfwheel 25.

Pricing is set at $10.25 per cigar or $212.25 per box of 21 with shipping expected to begin in May 2013.

“CyB has done extremely well and consumers for months have been asking for this size,” said Blanco. “Finally, after a year of going back and forth with one of the most difficult sizes to make and blend, we are very proud to present the CyB Lancero, a medium to full, very complex smoke, with spicy and sweet notes; a great balance that delivers a smoke that is memorable.”

This is one of a few projects expected from Joya de Nicaragua in 2013, who celebrates its 45th anniversary this year.
