IPCPR 2018: Visol Products

As has been the case the past few years, Plano, Texas-based Visol Products had plenty of new products to show off at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, including cases, cutters, lighters ashtrays and humidors. Gaurang Patel told me that the custom printing and engraving on products it introduced last year is going gangbusters, with a large number of both retailers and manufacturers taking advantage of the low minimum order.

The booth was basically the same as it was last year, with all of the products in glass cases arranged in a large square. Patel told me that one major change the company made this year was to put all of the new products close together so that when people came up and asked the age-old question, “So, what’s new?” they would be able to get to everything quicker and easier instead of having to hunt for them.

Zidane Lighter

First up is a new color in the company’s Zidane lighter line, which also includes a built-in cigar punch.

Torre Triple Flame Torch Lighter

There are also three Torre triple flame torch lighters, all of which feature a see-through bottom.

Sherman Single Flame Torch Lighter

Next were two Sherman single flame torch lighters, both with metal exteriors.

Shavano Triple Flame Torch Lighter

There were also two Shavano triple flame torch lighter with a more traditional trigger.

In addition, Visol showed off three FitzRoy single flame torch lighters, which looked to me like it got its design inspiration from some 1950’s kitchen appliances.

Next up on the lighter front were two new Elbert triple flame torch lighters.

There were also three new Capitol Quad flame torch lighters, which as the name suggests, features four flames.

Artemis Triple Flame Torch Lighters

The final lighter additions were five new colors in Visol’s Artemis lineup of round triple flame lighters.

There were also a number of new cigar cases, with the leather Preston three finger case coming first, which also includes a cutter that is held onto the back by a custom-made pouch.

The Visol Legend genuine leather cigar case was next, which includes both two and three finger cigar cases that also features a cutter in a custom-made pouch on the back, but this cutter is made entirely of metal.

Next up is the Carbon Fiber Pattern cigar case, which holds two cigars.

One of the coolest looking cases I saw at the booth this year was the Black and Red Carbon Fiber Pattern six finger cigar case, which sports a carbon fiber pattern and red accents while being able to hold up to six cigars at time.

Finally, Visol showed off five new colorways in its Burgos line, which are made of leather and hold three cigars.

In addition, there were a number of new ashtrays, starting with the Tazo Carbon Fiber Pattern ashtray, which features a carbon fiber pattern in circle and holds four cigars.

Next up were three different wood ashtrays, each with a different pattern.

Finally, the company showed off its Donovan Crystal cigar ashtray line, which is available in three different versions.

Ridge Wood Humidors

There were also a number of different humidors being shown off, starting with the Ridge Wood humidors, which is available in three different versions that all hold up to 50 cigars. The Ridge Mixed Wood Humidor includes both a digital hygrometer and humidifier while the Ridge Dark Burl Varnished and Macassar Ebony humidors feature a built-in digital hygrometer on the front:
