There are few booths on the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show floor that are as colorful as De Los Reyes. The booth, which is designed to look part like the company’s factory in the Dominican Republic, featuring pastel colored house siding, and a library, an homage to the company’s recent releases in the SAGA Short Tales Series, which are packaged to look like books.
The booth was also the de facto home to Debonaire, who seemed to be hosting meetings in a corner of the booth each of the times I passed by. De Los Reyes produces Debonaire and in fairness to Phil Zanghi, Debonaire’s owner, it’s a lot easier to host meetings next to De Los Reyes’ artificial fire than Drew Estate’s speakers.
Saga Short Tales: Tomo VI: The Sixth Element: El Tabaco
That’s a lot of colons.
This was actually shown off at Procigar 2018, though I’m told the cigars have now been properly aged. Like the releases before it, the cigars are packaged in boxes designed to look like vintage books, which include a few pages. Jean-Michel Louis created the inside, which includes a graphic of a tobacco plant that I really like. The company is also excited about the size—5 1/2 x 58—which it feels will be much easier to sell in the American market.
