IPCPR 2012: SAG Imports

In terms of releases, SAG Imports had a lot at the show. When you think about it, it never seemed that large—mainly because so many were extensions and limited production releases, but there was a lot. As far as the booth, it looked much the same—rather open and relaxing, except in a few moments, like when Tres Reynas was formally introduced. Looking back at the past year, it’s hard to think of a company who has done more reinvention than the Quesada’s, plain and simple, and IPCPR proved the buzz isn’t close to dying down.

Quesada Jalapa
As like many things in the SAG Imports booth, people couldn’t keep their hands off of samples in the cases. Details are chronicled in the review of the Belicoso.

Quesada Q d’etat Daga
Unlike the Moltov and Howitzer, the Daga gets a new blend. The 7 x 44/50/54 Salomon will use the Quesada 35th blend, after attempts at the Q d’etat blend didn’t produce the cigar the family intended for. This ships in late September.

Quesada Oktoberfest
Shipping soon, now with five sizes of various quantities. Details here.

Tres Reynas
The partnership was on display. It didn’t garner as much buzz as one would have thought, probably because of its late day two release. Details are here.

Casa Magna Box-Pressed
Three new sizes. Details were outlined here.

Casa Magna Domus Magnus II
Was not really displayed at the show, but this ships in late October. Changes covered here.

Casa Magna Gigantores
Now a national release. Brian reviewed it here.

Regius
The British brand is now being distributed by SAG Imports. There were extensions and a new Dominican-made line, all that is covered here.
