InterTabac 2026 will take place Sept. 15-17 in Dortmund, Germany.

The time of year and place are the same as it always is, but the days of the week are once again changing. The 2026 show will take place Tuesday through Thursday, a departure from the Thursday through Saturday schedule that has been used for the last few shows and will be used for InterTabac 2025.

InterTabac is a large, multi-faceted trade show held each year in Dortmund, Germany. Unlike the PCA Convention & Trade Show, which is a selling show focused on premium cigars, InterTabac is a show for international distributors and features a wide range of companies, including those selling cigars, cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, vaping products, accessories, machinery for producing these products and, increasingly, tobacco-free nicotine and marijuana products. In 2024, there were 800 exhibitors and 14,500 people in attendance.

“The change is the result of several surveys among exhibitors and visitors and of the coordination between Messe Dortmund as the organiser of InterTabac, the trade fair advisory board, the partner associations as well as representatives from the exhibitor ranks,” said Messe Dortmund in a press release. “The new sequence of days is not only intended to make it easier for the target group from the retail sector to participate. In addition, the international trade show will offer more ideal travelling conditions for exhibitors and visitors alike by being held on three working days.”

Through 2019, InterTabac was a Friday-Sunday trade fair. The 2020 and 2021 shows were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and when the show returned in 2022, it switched to a Thursday through Saturday format.
