There’s a new core line from Illusione arriving in stores.

It’s the Illusione Original Documents Habano, a line shown off last summer. The cigar marks the first time Illusione is working with AJ Fernandez as the Habano is produced at Abdel Fernández’s San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua.

Blend-wise, it uses a Nicaraguan sun-grown habano-seed grown by Fernánedz with filler tobaccos from three regions of Nicaragua: Condega, Estelí and Jalapa. Dion Giolito, founder of Illusione, told halfwheel that he was happy to reconnect with Alberto Padilla for this project. Padilla used to work for AGANORSA, a longtime partner of Illusione, but he now runs the San Lotano Factory.

The line is offered in six sizes:

  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Corona Minor (4 x 44) — $8.35 (Box of 25, $208.75)
  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Lancero (7 1/4 x 40) — $10.85 (Box of 25, $271.25)
  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Robusto (5 x 52) — $11.05 (Box of 25, $276.25)
  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46) — $12.30 (Box of 25, $307.50)
  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Churchill (6 3/4 x 48) — $11.65 (Box of 25, $291.25)
  • Illusione Original Documents Habano Gordo (6 x 56) — $11.90 (Box of 25, $297.50)

The Original Documents Habano also uses the updated Illusione packaging that will eventually expand to all of the Original Documents lines as well as ULTRA, which is being moved into the Original Documents portfolio.
