What’s old is new again and the same is true at the Gurkha booth at next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
The company will bring back two of its older blends Havana Legend, first introduced in 1999, and The Master Select, which debuted in 2001.
Havana Legend will receive new packaging, but the blend is the same as the original, which used an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Dominican olor binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.
It’s offered in four sizes:
- Gurkha Havana Legend Robusto Corto (4 1/2 x 48) — $5 (Boxes of 20, $100)
- Gurkha Havana Legend Robusto (5 x 54) — $5.50 (Boxes of 20, $110)
- Gurkha Havana Legend Toro (6 x 50) — $6 (Boxes of 20, $120)
- Gurkha Havana Legend XO (6 x 60) — $9 (Boxes of 20, $180)
Havana Legend will return to shelves this fall.
As for The Master Select, it will get new package. However, the cigar is being made the same as it was in 2001. The company said it met with Fidel Olivas, who blended the original cigar, and found the original blend. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a Honduran habano binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.
It’s offered in five sizes.
- Gurkha The Master Select Robusto — $7.50 (Boxes of 25, $187.50)
- Gurkha The Master Select Toro — $8.50 (Boxes of 25, $212.50)
- Gurkha The Master Select 6 x 60 — $10 (Boxes of 25, $250)
- Gurkha The Master Select Perfecto #1 (6 x 60) — $11.50 (Boxes of 25, $287.50)
- Gurkha The Master Select Perfecto #2— $9.50 (Boxes of 25, $237.50)
The Master Select will ship in late July.
