General Cigar Co.’s Punch brand is getting another Dad-themed cigar, just in time for Father’s Day.

Punch Dad’s Home Movies is a 6 x 50 box-pressed toro made with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper covering a Nicaraguan binder and an internal blend of tobacco grown in the Condega, Estelí and Ometepe growing regions of Nicaragua. It is made at STG Danlí in Honduras.

Each cigar has an MSRP of $7.49 and they are packaged in 10-count boxes that are designed to look like a VHS tape, complete with sleeve. They began shipping to stores yesterday.

“With the release of Punch Dad Bod for Father’s Day last year, we knew we were on to something,” said John Hakim, Punch brand manager, in a press release. “It serves three purposes in one: It lets the Dad in your life know how much you care, opens the door for you to rib him for being old, and gives you a chance to enjoy a great Punch cigar with him while he reminisces about the good old days.”

To commemorate Father’s Day last year, General released the Dad Bod, 4 1/2 x 60 perfecto made with a Cameroon wrapper covering a Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. Those cigars were packaged in cans designed to look like a can of beer.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
