On April 29, the latest from FQ Cigars will launch at an event at Cigar Hustler in Deltona, Fla.

It’s called Proper, the company’s flagship offering. The three size line uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a blend of fillers including Connecticut broadleaf, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Proper will be offered in Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46), Robusto (5 x 50) and Toro Gordo (6 x 54).

What makes the blend unique is that company owner Matt Hunt individually selects each cigar for the release. Hunt admitted this means production is limited depending on how many trips he makes to Nicaragua, but said that each batch will be around 1,000 cigars of each size.

Hunt said his plan is to keep Proper at small levels regardless of the company’s growth. Currently, FQ—which launched in late 2013—has around 30-40 accounts.

Proper will retail from $10-11.50, it is produced at Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. (NACSA).
