Ferio Tego Elegancia, Generoso 2023 Head to Stores

Ferio Tego’s pair of annual limited editions will return to shelves on Oct. 24.

The company has announced that it is preparing to release the 2023 versions of the Ferio Tego Elegancia and Ferio Tego Generoso, two cigars that it plans to release each year in limited quantities. Both the Elegancia—which is made by the Quesada family—and the Generoso—which is made by the Plasencia family—are 6 x 50 toros, each with an MSRP of $23 per cigar, up $1 compared to last year.

Blend-wise, the Elegancia uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The Generoso uses a Honduran wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. These are the same basic blend components as the 2021 and 2022 releases, though the company says it adjusts the blends each year to keep the same house style, but allowing for the current tobaccos to perform their best.

“This year’s releases continue our tradition of crafting the Elegancia and Generoso experience each year, embracing the style of each blend and delivering the very best expression of that style each year,” said Michael Herklots, co-founder of Ferio Tego, in a press release. “If you’ve enjoyed the past two releases, this year’s expressions are sure to delight.”

Both releases are offered in humidor-style boxes containing 10 cigars, included humidification and a NFC chip that allows for consumers to easily learn more about the cigars.

In the U.S., Ferio Tego is distributed by Davidoff of Geneva USA.
